Organised and facilitated by AMEND’s Peer Support Volunteers, these friendly and free gatherings are small and informal, and aim to provide a regular opportunity for peer support at a more local level. Although informal, please join the meeting on time to avoid interrupting others – thank you.
Our Peer Support meetings are for peer support purposes only, and do not offer medical advice nor professional psychological therapy. They are for adults aged 18 and over, however young adults from age 16 are welcome to attend at their parents’ discretion. This is to avoid interruptions and distractions, as well as to keep the meeting discussions private. What is said in a meeting, stays in the meeting. Further ground rules will be shared with you by the volunteer at the start of the meeting.
The majority of meetings ARE held virtually by Zoom in order to keep costs to a minimum, both for the charity, as well as for our members.
Please register for the meeting you wish to attend. You are sure to receive a warm welcome from all of our volunteers!
If you attend any of our virtual peer support meetings during 2024, please complete our short feedback survey using the link below. Your feedback will help us in our annual volunteer training, and to seek funding for our peer support programme. Thank you.
