• Emily is an original Co-Founder of AMEND and was a Trustee for many years.  About her new role, she says:

Having been diagnosed with MEN1 1998 and living successfully with its ups and downs ever since, I feel that now is the time to support other local AMEND members.

I took a step back from AMEND in 2016 to dedicate my time to my family and career.  Now is the next stage in my MEN journey – my eldest son Matthew (born 2008) has been diagnosed with MEN1 and begins his regular tests and screening.  My younger son Oliver (born 2011) was given the all clear so our family follows the 50/50 probability.  Our fantastic endocrine team is based in Leeds and I aim to facilitate peer support for patients in the Yorkshire region through this new role as a Regional Volunteer.
