I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and families through their journeys that are affected by genetic conditions. Having lived experience, we sadly lost my brother-in-law unexpectedly in 2019. After genetic testing my husband was diagnosed with a TMEM127 mutation, and shortly after he was diagnosed with a tumour. I want to give back all the knowledge I have obtained over the years and support others.
The world of healthcare is rapidly changing as we enter a new era of digital first and patient led care, with exciting advancements in research and technology and I’m confident this will be game changing for individuals living with genetics conditions. New advancements will allow patients and their families to be proactive around the care they received rather than reactive. I’m a big believer in knowledge is power.
I am a qualified accountant but work in commercial finance with experience in the health tech industry. Whilst numbers are my bread and butter, I bring experience with strategic decision-making, governance, and sustainability and strongly believe I can support AMEND towards its vision of inform, support and empower.
