AMEND Represents GenNETS Internationally
This annual meeting brings together patient groups from around the world who advocate for those affected by neuroendocrine cancers. For AMEND, who has been a member of INCA for many years, this means advocating for our MEN and PPGL syndromes. INCA is the home of Neuroendocrine Cancer Day held annually on 10th November.
At the Summit, AMEND CEO, Jo Grey, presented an overview of 23 years of AMEND involvement in research, including our 12-year period of providing small research grants (totalling over £190,000), and more recently, our participation as partners in larger projects. She also moderated two break-out sessions discussing proposals for the 2027 Neuroendocrine Cancer Day.

Other examples of inspiring best practice were heard from attendees from around the world. In particular, presentations were given by the Presidents of both the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society (NANETS), the former outlining ways in which INCA will be able to have more representation within the Society in the future.
As usual, this meeting was inspirational and a great opportunity to meet the new CEO of the USA’s Pheo Para Alliance, JoBeth McCarthy, alongside other long-standing and more recent friends and colleagues.
