AMEND Attends INCA Summit
AMEND is a member of the International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA), the organisation responsible for NET Cancer Day (AKA Neuroendocrine Cancer Day). Each year, INCA holds a Summit where their member organisations from around the world can get together and discuss projects, plans, strategy, and also share best practice ideas with one another.
On September 11th to 12th, representatives from organisations from the USA, Argentina, India, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and more, came together as one in Bologna in Italy.
AMEND represents genetic syndromes of neuroendocrine tumours (AKA GenNETs) within INCA, and CEO, Jo Grey, was pleased to be involved in the Summit, to talk about our Community Advisory Group project to help provide the patient voice in research. In addition, she hosted a breakout group session about awareness raising on NET Cancer Day, in her capacity as member of the INCA Awareness Committee.
It is wonderful to meet so many different organisations from around the world and to come away full of inspiration. Thank you to INCA and its sponsors for making this meeting possible for us all.
