Melinda lives with her husband and two daughters in Somerset.
When she isn’t working for a local print company, she loves to spend time outdoors with her Golden Retriever ‘Harvey’, attending obedience classes and workshops at her local dog training club. Harvey was a therapy dog at the hospital where Melinda is now a regular patient.
Along with other members of her family, Melinda was diagnosed with MEN1 in 2016. Intrigued by the condition she became an ‘information gatherer’ of all thing MEN1. AMEND has always been the main source of this information and she has attended their annual information days.
Melinda knows how daunting diagnosis, testing, scans and surgery can be and is looking forward to meeting and supporting others in the ‘AMEND family’.
She says “AMEND members have given me a sense of strength when everything seems so overwhelming. I hope in some small way I can give something back to this amazing group of people”.
Melinda’s first meeting will be held in Bath on Saturday 8th December from 1:30-3:30pm
