AMEND Attends the 2021 British Endocrine Society Meeting (BES 2021)

As many attendees remarked, it was almost as though Brighton 2019 was just last year. The rules in Scotland required all conference attendees to wear masks unless eating or drinking and compliance, as you might expect, was exceptional. During the three-day conference, we managed to catch up with many of our regular supporters and volunteers, including AMEND Patron, Professor Raj Thakker (current President of the Society for Endocrinology), and AMEND Trustees, Professor Karim Meeran and Dr John Ayuk. It was fantastic to hear AMEND and it’s ACC and PPGL groups mentioned in several of the sessions during the conference, particularly in relation to AMEND’s Research Awards over the last few years.
