4th AGM See Changes in AMEND Committee

AMEND's 4th AGM was held in London, UK, on Saturday 6th May.  Attendees, who came from all across the UK and even from California, USA, not only participated in the AGM itself, but also had a chance to meet others and to have questions answered by Dr Steve Gilbey, Consultant Endocrinologist from St James's Hospital, Leeds, and Trustee of AMEND.  As Liz Dent and Emily Fazal had decided to step down as Chair and Secretary but remain on the committee, positions were elected as follows:  Jo Grey (Chair & MEN2 Rep), Janet French (Secretary), Sam Meadows (Treasurer), Liz Dent (MEN1 Rep), Emily Fazal (MEN1 Officer), Vivienne Martin (MEN2b Officer), Terry Green (MEN1 Officer).  In recognition of their considerable efforts over the last few years in setting up AMEND, Liz Dent and Emily Fazal were additionally given the titles of President and Vice-President respectively.  A good day was had by all and a full write up will be available to all members in the next newsletter which will be circulated during the second week of June.
